Our journey starts at Miller Boat Launch at 10 am for a meet and greet, where we will organize and load personal and group camping gear into our tandem sea kayaks.  Once loaded and geared up, your guide will go over the route plan and safety briefing.

Around 11 am we will launch our kayaks and paddle over to the Point Reyes National Seashore, observing the landscape and wildlife, while your guide weaves in the natural and cultural history of the area.

Once we arrive at our campsite, we will unload our boats, set up camp and have lunch.  If weather permits, we’ll paddle north toward the mouth of Tomales Bay for more paddling or south to Marshall Beach for a hike. After our afternoon activities, we’ll gather in the kitchen back at camp to prepare a meal together.

Once the sun sets, we’ll launch our kayaks and explore along the shoreline in search of bioluminescent dinoflagellates, tiny plankton that sparkle throughout the water column with each stroke of your paddle. You’ll spend the night cozied up in your tent on the sand at the water's edge.

The next morning, we’ll have a leisurely breakfast and pack up camp.  The journey back to the boat launch provides another opportunity for wildlife viewing. Once at the launch, we will unload our kayaks and say goodbye for now.

Camping beach and route will be decided on the day of the event, based on local weather and tide conditions, as well as the presence (or absence) of other park patrons.
