To make the most of our time together in the field, the Leave No Trace and Wilderness First Aid components are hybrid classes (online and in-person). Required online coursework is completed in advance, with in-person, hands-on instruction integrated throughout the three days on the water and in camp.

Led by Liz Wilhelm and Dallas Smith, who together trained hundreds of leaders over the last 16 years of guiding in the Point Reyes area. Their combined experience spans large multi-day kayak and backpacking trips, wilderness medicine, and adventure education, giving participants a comprehensive, inclusive, hands-on learning experience.
