Explore Drakes Estero and multiple locations around Tomales Bay on guided kayak and SUP tours in Point Reyes. Most trips are led by owners Liz Wilhelm and/or Dallas Smith, who each bring over 15 years of guiding experience in Point Reyes and a deep connection to this region.
Liz and Dallas are both Level 4 ACA Instructors and Certified California Naturalists, with additional certifications and degrees in the outdoor industry.
Point Reyes Adventure Co. specializes in private trips and includes local snacks and a hot drink bar on all tours. A delicious local lunch can also be added to tours that don't already include food by request when booking.

3-hour tour. One of our most popular adventures! We will launch into the sunset and paddle to a beach on the Point Reyes National Seashore for a small fire, hot chocolate, and a nature talk before we paddle through the famous bioluminescence.

A 3-day guided canoe adventure through the Black Canyon Wilderness, complete with hot springs, scenic hikes, and cozy campsites. Paddle from the base of the Hoover Dam to Willow Beach, exploring sauna caves, slot canyons, and historic sites, before ending your journey. Point Reyes Adventure Co. provides expert guides, meals, and all necessary gear.

Private paddling classes offer a unique opportunity to enhance your skills on the water while enjoying Tomales Bay with an ACA Certified Instructor. We tailor each day to fit your individual needs and experience level.

Master the techniques needed to safely recover from a capsize, including self-rescue and assisted rescue methods, to boost your confidence on the water. Required by most outfitters to rent a closed deck sea kayak.
Gain a practical understanding of how tides and currents impact kayaking, and learn to plan trips as well as how to paddle safely in dynamic conditions.
Develop the skills to execute an effective kayak roll, with step-by-step instruction and personalized coaching in a supportive environment.
